The sequel to Namco’s Air Combat (originally titled Ace Combat in the arcades), Ace Combat 2 features 30 missions that have players dogfighting computer-controlled enemy aircraft, detonating a power plant’s core, flying through city streets, and escorting VIPs to safety. Following successful missions pilots can purchase new aircraft, each one with unique strengths and weaknesses. Selecting the best jet ahead of each mission is key as performing at a high level will unlock hidden missions and top-secret planes, including the elusive Stealth Bomber.
